Bio

Zak Bilal Mahrouse is an Articling Student at Rashidy and Associates, with strong interests in criminal law, civil litigation, and family law. Zak previously worked at the firm from 2021 to 2023 as a student-at-law, and is pleased to be welcomed back to complete his articling term.

He obtained his law degree from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brock University. Zak has also completed his National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) certification, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of Canadian law. His legal training has emphasized practical legal research, drafting, and effective client communication.

Before returning to Rashidy and Associates, Zak worked at the Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office – Civil as a Legal Assistant, where he supported civil litigation files and developed a strong appreciation for procedural rigor and strategic case management.

Zak is fluent in Arabic and values clarity, preparation, and professionalism in his legal work. Outside the office, he enjoys following F.C. Barcelona and Formula 1.
